VLF applied voltage testing
VLF applied voltage testing
VLF (Very Low Frequency) tests are techniques used to prevent failures during the operation of medium-voltage insulated networks. During these tests, cable insulation is subjected to predetermined levels of overvoltage for a specific time, as outlined in the IEEE 400.2 – 2024 guide. Our goal is to ensure the minimum performance requirements of the cables and identify potential critical defects that could cause failures during operation.
