Cable fault location

Operation and maintenance managers must always stay vigilant regarding faults in medium and high-voltage insulated power distribution networks. These faults can arise due to various reasons, including aging or end of service life, overvoltage, corrosion damage, or improper installation. BAUR’s equipment and systems for locating faults in insulated cables allow for precise identification of fault points, enabling subsequent repair or replacement in compliance with applicable standards for each type of work.

SYSCOMPACT 400 PORTABLE

The Syscompact 400 Portable from BAUR is a comprehensive system for fault location in medium-voltage insulated cables, including cables with a nominal voltage of 20/35 kV.

SHIRLA

The shirla sheath test and fault location device is used for cable and cable sheath testing, and for the pre-location and pin-pointing of cable sheath faults and cable faults.

PROTRAC ®

With protrac®, it is possible to precisely locate acoustic, electromagnetic, and sheath faults in insulated cables, as well as trace circuit routes.

CL 20

BAUR's CL 20 is an instrument designed to trace the route of underground cables and metallic pipes with precision at depths of up to 15 meters.

IRG 4000 PORTABLE

BAUR's IRG 4000 portable pulse reflectometer, combined with system software, accurately locates faults in single-phase and three-phase insulated cables.

TITRON ®

BAUR's titron ® is an automatic measurement and testing system equipped with the latest technology for fault location and comprehensive diagnosis in insulated cables.
