FRIDA TD
VLF testing and diagnostic equipment for medium-voltage cables up to 20 kV
With a simple and quick testing setup, the frida TD is the ideal equipment for performing VLF applied voltage tests and diagnosing the aging of medium-voltage cable insulation. The diagnosis is conducted through simultaneous Tangent Delta measurements, in compliance with the IEEE 400.2 - 2024 guide (Monitored Withstand Test - MWT). This ensures a comprehensive assessment of the reliability of insulated medium-voltage cables rated up to 12/20 kV.

• Voltage source with VLF truesinus® technology.
• Application of low-distortion sinusoidal voltage at low frequencies, ranging from 0.1 Hz to 0.01 Hz, up to 26 kV rms.
• Application of positive or negative DC voltage up to 34 kV.
• Automatic capacitance analysis system for frequency adjustment during withstand tests.
• Tangent Delta measurement in compliance with major international standards, with high precision and repeatability.
• Automated test and diagnostic sequences using BAUR Software 4.
• Can be used in conjunction with the PD-TaD system for offline Partial Discharge testing.
